I probably can, but the real questions is should I?
"Fixing" BZ in 1999 is not the same as "fixing" it in 2009. Reaper tried and look at him now... all alone in BZE...
The one who uses Bobcat on a regular bases is by now used to have AT on that place, even though it's not natural. "Fixed" Bobcat to you is a "broken" Bobcat to someone else... After 11 years even a "good" change can be a "bad" change.

But if you make it an option such as the sniper scopes. some may consider the new scopes 'breaking' them. Or is this something that can't be changed only for those who may want it? Although reading on other posts I am in agreeance with the idea of the sasquatch's guns firing at the same point, or at least a little closer.

There are 3 problems with that:
1. I can't have 20 custom questions (do you want custom bdog grizz?, do you want custom bobcat, how about custom walkers?, do you want Czar to have special hard point on #3 like Grizz?, do you want CCA Cons to have replaced silo/barracks in the build menu? ...).
2. Half ppl wouldn't understand what's changed.
3. If any of those changes gives advantage over stock game (and most do), it would become unfair to have BZ 98 installer.

I compared the aim of the NSDF Bobcat with the BD Bobcat. NSDF Bobcat has it coming out of cannon, while BD Bobcat has it perfectly centered, but not out of the vehicle's actual cannon. So in my opinion, the BD Bobcat is the broken one, but considering the aim is centered, others may think the NSDF Bobcat is the one with the problem. Just can't please everybody, better off with no change. And then there's same kind of difference between NSDF and BD Badger turrets... I agree, the NSDF Walker would be more useful firing weapons closer together. But it looks awkward and affects those who drive Sasquatch/Sasquatch AG in DM. I once suggested changing CCA constructor, but all it takes is a little practice with CCA to memorize that silo is 7 and not 6. I also suggested adjusting tank hardpoints to be in different order to make them all match. Same case there, just get used to it. If you change it, you just create a new problem for those who are already used to it. Since we seem to be discussing next installer as part of this discussion, I will note that bzone.avi was omitted from the anims folder by default in Bz 1998 even though it isn't a vehicle anim that crashes the game in multiplayer. It's the anim that appears on main menu screen. And BTW Spock, I realized the IA mission shortcuts are in start menu. I don't usually use my start menu because it's so crowded with anything I've ever installed, I instead use shortcuts on my desktop to access things, and I went into Battlezone 1998's actual folder and found no IA shortcuts. That's what made me think they were missing, they weren't where I expected them to be.

I never noticed there was a difference between the two bobcats. I can see that making everything optional would be a nightmare, but it would be cool if someone could come up with more things like the scopes and skins, something that doesn't change the game, just the look. Although maybe not the NSDF BzE factory skins... Just No.

No wonder whole BZE strat looks like a joke when hard core bomber (reaper) made it. He doesn't care, his main focus was on BZ2 ships and turbo walkers.

i feel kinda stupid, but how do i get the red oddysey game to work with out the cd.... every time i click on single player it says "please insert cd"
