I own Bz2 disk, and I played both Bz's in the past. Today, I only play Bz1 cause I, like the most who started as Bz1 players, don't accept B2 as a real sequal. It's a totally different game and I find Bz1 much better. However, this forum will support Bz2, although not as its brother, but as its half-brother. :)

I'm not interested in Bz2's official 1.2 patch vs unofficial 1.3 patch discussion. I know all about it. 1.3 to 1.2 is as same as BzE to Bz1, a mod (with few good and few bad changes) which splits little community. And like Bz1 has more players than BzE, 1.2 has more players than 1.3. Originals and official patches will always pwn mods and unofficial releases, especially in 10, 11 years old games.

As far as I know, Bz2 community is located here. In the past I was wrongly addressing to Bz2 people, while posting on BZU forums. That was mainly cause they had big Bz1 section, before BZU owner decided to delete all Bz1 post and start all over.

BZU members (with few exceptions) treat Bz1 players like shit, while they are all nice to BzE players. Modders supporting modders, I can understand that. Then you (BZU members) should understand why we (Bz1 players) don't support your 1.3 mod.

If there are Bz2 1.2 players among this forum members, and you are interested, I can let you moderate this section.

I am a mixed BZ2 1.2 and BZ 1.4 player. I think I am well-fit to moderate this section.
I am also beta testing BZ Classic (BZ1 on the BZ2 engine). So I am really a mixed member. :)

I have only played the demo of Bz 2. It seems like an ok game. And it seems bz's half-brother has some division issues of its own just like us.

Ugh, yet another place that hates the 1.3 patch.

The 1.3 patch itself is still actively being developed and tested and fixes numerous bugs that were present in 1.2. Many people left BZ2 because they couldn't do their favorite "glitches" that made it unfair in multiplayer, the most common being the hovering glitch.

I love both patches. I love the new features in 1.3, and I love 1.2 for it's extended mods that are available. Nathan works very hard with what little time he has for the 1.3 patch, and I'm glad that he still actually supports BZ2 currently.

Yes, the community in BZ2 is also split, just like in BZ. You have the idiots who love their 'hacking' and 'glitching' in 1.2, and then you have the others who play to have fun so that they aren't ruined by said idiots. That's why some play on 1.3, some still play on 1.2, etc... I have had good games on both patches because I have real good friends that know what they're doing, and we have very fun games when we do play with eachother.

So really... the 1.3 patch fixes a lot of issues in 1.2, a lot that I really like to see done. Of course, both patches do indeed have their pros and cons, so you will always have a split in communities when this happens.

Glitches? Hehe.

One time reaper told me that jump snipe is a bug/glitch exploit. LOL! Yet you can still do it in his mod.

How do you get the new Bz2 anyway.

I would enjoy a new challenge. :)

Interestingly enough, there are 3 used copies available on amazon.com. There is even 1 new copy available... for !49.99! Is this game a collector's item?

I've noticed this is a pretty predictable pattern for websites like ebay or amazon, they some companies have games that weren't published too much and pretty much you're at the mercy of their asking prices. :/ Doesn't matter what the game is or if it is collectible...

More like the complete mercilessness of their asking prices. :o
