People often cry when they see someone RF-ing. I want to eliminate possiblity of rules/tears with 1.5 patch.

Leave em be. Red-Fields aren't really used by a lot of people, so why mess with them?

Leave it as it is.

As I see, you all agree with me (I presume that those who won't vote like it stock).

When I use RF, I ran out of ammo quickly, while some (Oddball, Jester...) can use RF all the time. More ammo hack helps a lot. 1.5 will be a lot harder to hack, so RF won't be the same for them. Many will stop using it and soon RF won't be listed under "lame" weapons anymore.

I don't see why it is lame, it is great for sneaking up on people...

Nothing wrong with using Red Field.

Why do you think Activision put it in BZ? :P

For those sneaky DM tactics.

It's all good.

When nobody hacks and the RF'ers run out of ammo, they'll be saying "lol no ammo" a lot more.

And then you will be seeing their thruster assembly more often as they run for more ammo

Besides, while they are using their Red Field, if you learn to lead targets without targeting, you can impress them by doing just fine against them whether they use RF or not. ;)

I hear them say:
"lol RF"
"lol blast"

I say: lol noob.

RF and blast all you want. This is BattleZone, not pre-school!

A mate and I stopped talking to each other for 2 years over the Red Field... the concept of honour in regards to the Red Field is pointless... There are 2 possible ways to use a Red Field in DM: Sneak Attacks and Lead Target disabling!

My responce to anyone who has a problem with Red Field in DM....
* Sneak Attacks - Cover your own back (it's DM/FFA FFS!)!!!! or get a mate who will (because if you can't defend yourself, you'll need the backup)!!!!
* Lead Target disabling - Learn to aim!!!! If you can't hit me without a lead target, then your no challenge to me!!!!

I'm glad to say friendship has been mended.... although we still agree to disagree regarding the use of the Red Field.... (pussy...)

:) Rammy

i agree to leave red field as is. the amo consumption is high enough to prevent abuse and low enough to allow it to be a feasable option.

i mean its not like cloaking. you can still see the person. and you can just wait for them to turn red field off; theyll get tired of always running out of amo.

and i am totally with telsa about site cams wimpy range, although i dont really believe this is a major issue since no one uses it and there are very few chances to anyway

The only ones I hear crying about Red Field and Blast are those like Chet who are chronic whiners. They also complain when you snipe them, when you kill their pilot, etc.

Whenever somebody complains about me using RF, I try to explain to them why it's called a "Stealth" Tank. Go figure... they never listen. When using RF, you're harder to track, and using the cover of terrain, you can disappear. Without RF, it wouldn't be a Stealth Tank, it'd just be a Mag Tank. If the tank had a Thumper instead of RF, it'd be even more powerful.

I agree with ram. Learn to F*ckin Aim!!!
You can tlp without target lead on. As for the RF, it is part of the game. Get over it.

I love the Red Field. I can't count how many times I've tricked somebody chasing me on Coliseum by activating my Red Field and changing direction and keeping no line-of-sight between them and me. Eventually they lose me, and I get outside their radar range, reload, and then return for a sneak attack.
