Splinter in Bz 1.5 strat
Leave it as it is 36%  36%  [ 5 ]

Remove it from armory and Bdog Grizzly 0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Change something about it (reducing life, increasing ammo consumption, decreasing its power...) 64%  64%  [ 9 ]

I stand by my old post. I still get lots of laughs when I launch a splinter into a packed group, miraculously miss all the units, and then the splinter goes off... hilarious...

Falcon, big supporter of 1.5 patch voted here leave it as it is.

I used splinters on him in strat, not on his main base, only on a few scavs and him. He left the game in tears: "Spock splinters!", after just 5 mins. Map was big (Biometal Run), otherwise he would last 2 mins.

I did that cause he was rude to a new player who was playing with us (blasting him and laughing at his "silly" moves), and, of course, to show him the problem with splinters. If you are noob, you are noob with splinters too. If you are pro, you are pro with splinters too.

Splinters (same as scrapmaking) are the problem when pro does it, those little nasty things won't help a new player (besides giving him few extra minutes).

Those few extra minutes can mean a lot, if the newbie has a tactical mind. If not, then look at it as anticipation for the kill on your end.

I'd say reduce damage. splinters are fun but overpowered i guess ;p

Well I guess the main objective for 1.5 and for BZ in general is to actually get as many as possible players online. Then a good thing would be to reduce the amount of gamerules because rules are always broken, misunderstood and argued about. My last suggestion is then to modify Splinter to a level where there's no need for the "no splinter" rule..

Unfortunately the 1.5 patch won't happen unless reaper decides to put aside his over-inflated ego and actually do something good for the BZ community.

Putting an ego aside is hard :) But he may have to decide to try something different if BZ"E" has too few players.
Who knows someone is going to look into what he's doing and which tools he's using. BZ"E" is maybe not 100% legal.
Another possibility could be some ppl at the BZ"E" Club reacting someday. They should not be afraid for him getting mad and leaving BZ. He depends on people celebrating him and playing "his game" :)

TAKING OFF THE BDOG TANK ( AND NO MORTAR IN REPLACE) i think the b dog tank with mine and sp is enougth . dm-strat

Well, I've been making a mod and one thing I did was give the Black Dog Grizzly in strat Mortar instead of Splinter.

Both weapons cost 2 scrap, so it's a suitable replacment.

Except you won't find a Black Dog Grizzly rushing your base with a splinter unless they deploy Armory and upgrade with splinter first. :)

Rushing with just a Mortar won't work out so well. ;)
