Battlezone 1

Obviously Bz has problems with some routers... let's make a list of those who work with BZ and those who don't. If you had to do some extra tweaking (like port forwarding or something) write what you did. Also, don't forget to say whether your PC is wired or wireless, and do you have more than 1 PC hooked on it. If both PC have Bz on it, say if they can join each others rooms.

I have Siemens Gigaset SE555. It works wired/wireless without any problems. For 2 PC's in the same room I had to turn Stateful Packet Inspection off.

P.S. Hyper, when the list grows, buy one out of working ones. Williamson, you too.

Another thing: I finally got round to trying out the crossover cable today, and.... it works!
I can now play with my brother.
I would really like to thank everyone for helping out, particularly you, Spock, and hope that the router problem can be fixed eventually...

Good to hear that at least your cable-IPX works. I played for a few months with my brother like that, before I got DSL and came online. Those hours and hours of playing 1on1, while testing differnt tactics and exploring maps, turned us both into respectable stratters.

If you don't get new router in the near future, try upgrading firmware on the current one. If you already have the newest, you can reset your router to factory settings. Both things will restore all values to default. Then you can try all those tips from the other topic once again. It might help, but you gotta know that some routers just don't work well with Bz.

Hey, I joined Tesla, natural selection and Mr. Stratking (which names do you guys use in Bz?) for some DM online today. I think it went pretty smooth so I think my router aint getting into trouble with Battlezone.

I'm behind a Davolink DV-201AMR, didn't forward any ports, do guess you can add that one to the 'good guys' list

Zoom X6 (DSL Router). Works fine, not sure if I can host though, but plays without a hitch.
