It has been mentioned by hyperfighter on "rooms" about hacks.

This is still on the subject of hacking on the new server.

I have recently started to play a few snipe games and yesterday I am told that a few use a hack on it. one name mentioned was tesla.
I didnt think he did hack to snipe but I am told by several that him and a few others use a hack to snipe.
No wonder I think I am pish at smiping compared to them IF they do use a hack.

I am also starting to strat occasionally. But if I suspect any hacking at all I will leave BZ for good.
I know the wee fuds that hack think it is good and funny and makes them feel more powerful, even though it is not them and it is a hack that makes them more powerful. They will still think it is funny and if any of them are reading this they will be bored reading about people complaining about hackers as well as finding it funny.
Hacking ruins a game, it spoils peoples fun ( apart from the hackers that get fun out of pissing folk off) what will the hackers do if there was no one left to piss off by hacking? would they have as much fun hacking each other? I just dont see the point.
Hacking a game is taking away its original structure. If it was meant to be then the creators would have added all these optional extras in with the game so it was part of the game.

There's no reason to leave Bz because of those few hackers. We fair players just decide to slap them dearly. It's fun to slap them, so you don't need to leave. Enter and enjoy the hack smacking.

One thing I tend to notice alot of is people cry hack when they get sniped a few times when they can't see the person sniping.

I did a few sniper matches with ASD, came out as draws many of the times. I really doubt he snipe hacks.

I have a question though, what is the max sniper range. It seems like sometimes I try to snipe a dot I can see
in the campaign and have it not hit and others it does.

There's no reason to talk about hear-say hacks or non hacks, especially not on the forum. New players are getting the wrong impression and we don't want that. We may have doubts about certain people's skills, but if you don't see them on the Wall of Shame I assure you they are clean. I made the initial post but i consult other people too before adding a new name or removing a name. No need to cry wolf.

Spork was once on the Wall, and then he got removed. This forum will protect no one, so he can easily return there if he starts hacking again. Same goes for those who got warned. You won't get a 2nd warning. It's 1 warning, then The Wall.

Tesla is a great sniper until proven otherwise. Some have doubts about my skills too. I shut their lying mouths with my videos.

Tesla, making a video of you sniping is a good idea, but lose the name "hack" from it. "Tesla's sniping adventures" sounds better, doesn't it?

As for the server, no one said there will be no hacks on the new server, we just said there will be less. We can't control every single person. Only server disruptors will get a 24hrs server ban (then 48hrs etc.), for in game problems you have to use own firewalls.

Great to see you in a strat upyerkilt... GG on Earth map! You lost your recycler very early to someone's bombers but you stayed in the game till the end, fought bravely with your sniper rifle and outlived 2 other players. That's the spirit!

and Firestorm I am not crying hack at anyone. I am just saying about people saying there are still hacks.
But what you say wit hthe range of snipe. I dont know how someone can snipe me when they are flying down from a big tower, so there is no target in snipe mode and I am on the ground jumping about yet they still manage to kill?
All I want to know is how is that done? they say they are good and aim for the head, but I still think this is impossible.

Spock again ,lol. It is not bad for new comers to see, it should not put them off. I saw this when i first came back on and was not put off. No matter what game you are on online there will always be hacks.

Hyper, yer right and I dont think I will leave BZ because of hacks, I just hate knowing that people do hack.
But I got to admit, I have not seen any on the new server unless there is a snipe hack to kill from so far away at such great accuracy. Other than that I still love playing .

Hey upyerkilt, nice to see you playing some strat. Good game on Coliseum by the way, I was {911}FurryBurGer. I sniped you quite a bit. I noticed I tend to get more snipes in 1 vs 1 DM, because of several factors. Less lag with only 2 players, and nobody else to shoot me while I aim at you.

Eventually I will move to a different city and get better Internet at which point I want to strat a lot more. So keep practicing your strat, I hope you are a worthy opponent for me when it is time!

By the way, I'm sorry if I helped perpetuate the Tesla hack conspiracy. I have no proof, and I know he knows how to aim.

I didn't mean to imply you were doing it, but I've definately seen some people do it before. I was more thinking about those "other people" >.>;

Tesla's a player I've seen go 90% exclusive sniper, so he has alot of practice sniping targets. As far as what you said, that might be more or less the truth. I can't wait to actually play and know that my sniper shells will land at my crosshair instead of somewhere above or below it. (that makes it very difficult to snipe without scope... ><)

About all this hack business,I still maintain that most people who are accused of hacking or cheating are accused without proof.For instance i was accused by spork of hacking / fps cheating in a game about a week ago.No matter what my fps is either winning or losing game spork feels the need to accuse me at every chance.I have never hacked bz i never will.The fps thing is perposterous,as i have about 55 most games unless i use a splinter then it crashes way down sometimes to 15.The accusation is played out spork.Pleese prove it!
At this point it really does not matter as i have uninstalled battlezone for the time being hoping guys like you will be rooted out or somehow reform.Why would you want to drive players away if you are trying to save the game ?The only proven hacks i know that play on the new bz server are you.

Hackers playing on the new server? I haven't seen any hacking on the new server other than Genx hacking rooms and getting banned for 24 hours.

Very few players left? We got several new players recently, so I do not know what you are talking about. Are you purposely lying and being negative? Lying isn't allowed here, so spare us the being negative as well.

well after reading the replies in here I will keep an open mind. I am not believing anyone. I am taking no sides. I will kill anyone I see in a game.
I dont even know if I would recognise if someone was hacking unless it was really obvious.
Maybe valek is getting accused of hacking because of lag? if someone is going slow on a crappy connection against someone wit ha good cable connection?

I am willing to believe Valek as not hacking as I have no idea. But he makes one really good point.
If people want to save battlezone and keep it alive then EVERYONE should stop their childish bickering.
It happens opn this forum and certainly happens a lot on the actual game. And the worst ones are the people that seem to take a disliken to people from Croatia. All I can say to that is grow up idiots ( the idiots being people that keep going on and on and on about Croats until I am bored reading)

May be my last post in here as it seems when anything like this comes up it turns into an arguement, a silly needless one. I only asked about hacks for snipes in the new server and looks like it is turning into a " you said this, you said that, I will tell my daddy on you" sort of arguement

I do love a good arguement and heated debates, I could teach folk how to argue until they win but for something as silly as this I will not participate.

I mean, I could repeat everything upyerkilt just put out, but I'm just going to state I'm very much agree with him. I haven't been around for long, and it's been years since I last played Battlezone online, but I think it's quite disappointing and shocking to see how much all the cheating 'affairs' are just eating away this community and the game.

I haven't got much knowledge about the architecture of the game and to what extent it allows modifications to the net code, but I take it that if it were possible, surely someone would already have came up with anti-cheating/hacking measures. Perhaps we just can't expect to find any redemption for that angle, perhaps we could look into it more if it turns out it does provide hope for an ending of all this?

All I know about cheaters and hackers is that they are often to stubborn to talk them out of cheating/hacking or even make them think of it. I've already lost count of the topics on (false or true) accusations of cheating/hacking and all the drama following that I toke a peek in, and won't even bother taking part of. I don't mean to bitch around but I fear all the immature bickering might do this community more harm then good because it repels newcomers or instills them a negative image of MP.

Perhaps we might as well put a end to all the cheating/hacking related discussions. From all I remember (from any game) these topics inevitably incline to be endless and rarely provide much resolution.

People don't forget, and with such a small community where people are familiar with each other that might just turn out to be an advantage. In the end if someone consistently ruins games by cheating or hacking no one will want to play with them anymore, and so their punishment comes around. Also want to add that I'm still a novice here so I understand I could get the image wrong.

Hopefully I'll be able to join u guys for a sportsmanlike match online soon.

i was accused to hack for something i was practice a lot of time , and spork kill me with his words, i supposs you defend your own people , not kill it , im still here coz i have a real felling abouth this game.

Spork , as i said i have unloaded bz and all of its files from my pc.You wont have to worry about my supposed fps hacks or cheating etc.I have posted here so that it would not have to be heard in the lobby and promote more negativity.At this point i have also decided to refrain from posting here again as this bickering is making a bad atmosphere for new players.I feel its best for me to quit bz at least until things change.To the other players whom i have subjected to this long argument i apologize i have just been trying to defend myself from the constant in game comments and accusations that have finally drove me to quit a game i have been playing for over ten years.Spork i have not admitted to cheating because i do not cheat.You have admitted cheating ......... Long ago you could have let it drop and i would have played you with respect and forgot about it.You dont seem to realize how bad you warp .
You mistake the lag for some kind of speed cheat.I did not wish to fight with you only to play the game.
When you have been playing bz for a few years with high speed and have some experience you will realize i am not cheating.Best of luck with the new server and hope the game improves with me gone.

Every man is innocent until proven guilty. I was defending Tesla cause we didn't have any evidence. Today he was again sniping like crazy and when asked to take a test (yes, there's a simple test) he started making silly excuses and after a lot of talk, he refused to be tested. That's enough for me, he's a hack.
